About this Blog (The Boring Stuff)

This blog will see me attempt to explain degree-level maths in as simple terms as possible.  I’ve written everything in such a way that it should be understandable to anyone (I hope!), though of course the more background you have in maths, the easier it will be to understand things.  However, regardless of your background, if you’re reading this and are even a tiny bit curious about what I’m talking about, you’ll be fine.

In general, I expect that this blog will mostly interest people who are considering doing a Maths degree (ie, those doing their A-Levels), and they will probably get more out of it than most people.  However, later entries may well interest those who are currently doing their degrees, as it will briefly expose them to some maths they may not have done, or even help them get a basic grasp of something they are studying.  And if you don’t fit in either of those categories, then you may still get something out of this! 🙂

If you have any questions at all, please leave a comment.  Alternatively, feel free to email me at j[dot]coyston[at sign]warwick[dot]ac[dot]uk

DISCLAIMER:  This blog will not be very rigorous with the maths I do, since I only aim to make things brief and easy to understand for a broad audience.  As such, there may be some things which are overlooked, which would be classed as important when studying at university.
